Jackson Test Lab 166 Pleasant Drive, Tecumseh, Michigan 49286 More than a Test Service
Environmental Testing Environmental Testing is used to determine products resistance to the effects of exposure to various temperature and atmospheric humidity conditions. Functional tests can be performed on the product during these extreme conditions. These tests are often used to verify the manufactures claims regarding operational limits, determine realistic warranty terms and set guidelines for safe operation procedures. Moisture can cause physical and chemical deterioration of materials, while temperature extremes combined with humidity may cause condensation inside of the product. Temperature and humidity exposure can be combined with other test requirements to simulate "mixed" environmental conditions. A variety of different environmental conditions may be encountered by a product during its expected lifetime. Simulations of high temperature and high humidity may be alternated with cold and dry atmospheric conditions. Environmental Endurance Testing
